With a territory of 110,994 square kilometers, Bulgaria ranks as the 16th-largest country in Europe. Several mountainous areas define the landscape, most notably the Stara Planina (Balkan) and Rodopi mountain ranges, as well as the Rila range, which includes the highest peak in the Balkan region, Musala. The Rhodope Mountains is another mountain resort destination in Bulgaria. It is home to Pamporovo located 1,650 meters above sea level. It’s a year-round ski resort with one of the finest ski school’s in the country.

Not far from Pamporovo is the beautiful village of Momchilovtsi, a rich cultural destination where you can find the best collections of Bulgarian arts and crafts on display.
