To make the most of your Bergen visit, take advantage of the benefits of the Bergen Card. It will allow you to enjoy free bus rides and light rail travel. Although your free ride is allowed only within the city limits, the card still remains to be the most practical partner in touring the city. If you want to watch a movie at the Bergen Cinema, just show the Bergen Card and you will be given a special price of NOK 15 instead of paying a whopping NOK 80-110. The card will also allow you to enjoy the Arboretum at Milde and the Bergen Trotting Park all for free.
Here are just some of examples of what the card offers for sightseeing tours discounts: 50% off on Bergen Harbour Tour and 25% off on Fjord tour both with “White Lady” as well as 35% off on Bergen Highlights and Bergen and Grieg Tours.
For restaurant discounts, you’ll get a 15% off on food from both Wesselstuen and Holbergstuen restaurants, 10-20% off on food and drinks from Kafe Kippers & USF Restaurants and also a 10% off on food and drinks at Pingvinen and Caf้ Opera among others.
The card will also score you a 10% discount in car rental from Hertz Bilutleie and 30% off in parking fees from ByGarasjen multi-storey car park.
However way you look at it, the Bergen card is definitely a best buy when visiting Bergen. Even if you will not make use of the other features of the card, your free admissions alone are more than enough to cover the cost of the card. Moreover, the city has a very efficient public transportation which makes the card’s free rides a definite bargain.
