Wyndham Hotel Group appoints Gareth Gaston as senior vice president, global e-commerce, responsible for driving the company's online presence and strategy. An experienced hospitality and Executive e-commerce, Gaston is accused of leading to re-launch the company's global brand Web sites to improve the consumer experience and help drive bookings .other responsibility include optimizing marketing Wyndham Hotel Group s spending to drive the site more traffic and activity detection improved implementation of e-marketing to further improve campaign effectiveness.
Gareth is a talented and well-rounded which has extensive experience in hospitality and electronics and the Web marketing field, said Flo Lugli, Wyndham Hotel Group Executive Vice President of marketing. His knowledge and experience will play a central role in enhancing the experience for our users and will help to increase online bookings for brands. Prior Wyndham Hotel Group to join Wyndham Hotel Group, Gaston served in roles of distribution and marketing to various hospitality drive and travel companies including long time Wyndham Hotel Group franchises Ramada Jarvis Hotel as well as worldwide Hilton and Stakis Hotels.
Most recently Gaston served as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer for Octopus Travel, an online retailer hotel owned by Travelport and based in London. While in that role, he successfully realigned the company's resources to improve the effectiveness and efficiency, during the transition of a business to consumer offering resulting in growth for the company for the first time in many years.
