Qatar Airways to increase flights to Germany

Qatar Airways is planning to expand its flights in Germany with the introduction of scheduled services to Stuttgart and greater capacity to Munich Stuttgart next year, to be served three times-a-week, will be the destination fourth carrier s Doha base in Germany. The news comes as Qatar Airways is preparing to embark on an enormous drive European expansion with the launch of flights to Nice, Budapest, Bucharest and Brussels over a 10-week period between November 2010 to January 2011. Qatar Airways new flights to Stuttgart and additional services in Munich, will see the airline operate not 31-flights-a-week stop from Doha to four destinations throughout Germany. The carrier already serves daily Berlin and Frankfurt with 10-flights-a-week. By March next year, Qatar Airways will operate 182 weekly flights to cities across Europe, one of the key global markets carrier s. The Airbus A319 single-aisle aircraft designated to operate the new features of direction Stuttgart a capacity of 110 seats eight in Business Class and 102 in economics. The aircraft is equipped with the offer of entertainment system Oryx state-of-the-art TV individual touch screens at each seat and over 700 video audio entertainment options. The aircraft also features OnAir mobile telecommunications technology that enables passengers to send and receive SMS and MMS messages, and browse the Web using their mobile internet device enabled. Located in South-West Germany, Stuttgart has a population of about 600,000 people with a metropolitan area of over five million inhabitants. The city is home to giant car cars Porsche and Mercedes-Benz. Porsche is the majority shareholder of Volkswagen AG, parent company of the Volkswagen Group, which owns the brands of luxury cars Audi, Bentley, Lamborghini and Bugatti.
