Pan Pacific Bangkok to become a Crowne Plaza

InterContinental Hotels Group has confirmed that a hotel Crowne Plaza will replace the Pan Pacific Bangkok. Rebranding will enter into force on 1 January 2011, making the Crowne Plaza Bangkok Lumpini Park la quinta IHG property in Bangkok. The 241-room hotel is located in the heart of Bangkok, a short distance from the Royal Bangkok Sports Club, Chulalongkorn University, and a variety of entertainment options, restaurants and retail in Silom area. The property offers panoramic views of the city from 21 to 32nd floor and is the component of Ramaland hotel, a mix-use complex development. Sala Daeng BTS and Silom MRT stations are easily accessible from hotel .it s no secret that we ve been looking for the right opportunity open a Crowne Plaza in Bangkok. This rebranding gives us the ability to launch Crowne Plaza in a great location and a great platform to build this brand in Thailand, said Jan Smits, Managing Director of IHG Asia Oceania. By next year we will have four IHG brands operating in Thailand InterContinental, Crowne Plaza, Holiday Inn and Holiday Inn Express.
